Nova Dent
Dental veneers are cosmetic dentistry treatments that come with a tooth-like structure to encapsulate and protect damaged teeth. Especially if the tooth is worn or broken, dental veneers work to restore and strengthen the tooth’s aesthetic shape, functions.
Benefits of dental veneers:
- Protection of fragile teeth by coating
- Restoring the aesthetic appearance of natural teeth
- Restoration of dental function
Traditional Coating Types
1- Temporary tooth crowns
Temporary dental veneers are one of the traditional types of veneers prepared and installed in the clinic. Temporary veneers are usually made of stainless steel or acrylic and are used as a first solution until a permanent veneer is fitted. In children, stainless steel veneers are used to protect damaged teeth until the baby teeth fall out.
2- Porcelain/ceramic dental veneers
Ceramic or porcelain veneers are the most durable of their counterparts. They also give the most realistic and natural results and are ideal for people with metal sensitivity.
3- Dental veneers made of resin
Resin dental crowns are an economical option compared to other alternatives. They provide minimal support and protection without compromising aesthetics. However, they are not as long-lasting as porcelain or porcelain and are prone to breakage and wear.
4-Coatings (Ceramic-Metal)
This type of dental veneer is an ideal alternative that comes with the advantages of both metal veneers and ceramic veneers. It has a tooth colour that matches the natural tooth colour. However, this type of dental veneer is prone to wear compared to the durability of a metal veneer.
5- ZIRCONIUM COATINGS:
The degree of transparency of zirconium veneers can be controlled to mimic the transparency of your natural teeth. Zirconium veneers give you a more confident smile.
6-VENEERS Coating
They are very thin layers made of materials produced in the dental laboratory, with a resistance similar to that of natural tooth enamel, used to restore the natural appearance of teeth.
They are applied to the oral surfaces of the front and side teeth to improve the aesthetic appearance of the teeth, such as the correction of local and generalised defects such as cracks in the teeth and dental pigmentation, or other defects such as adjusting the size and shape of the teeth.

Frequently asked questions about dental veneers
Dental crowns are generally a safe treatment with very limited side effects. One of these side effects is an allergy to the material from which the crown is made. In this case, you should immediately seek help from your doctor to remove the crown.
Otherwise, dental crowns are harmless to oral health.
First Step, Visit
Before starting the process of designing a dental crown, a thorough root examination must be passed. Your doctor will take x-rays of your tooth and the condition of your root will be examined. In case of root infection, it must be treated before dental veneers are chosen. If all is well, your dentist will inject local anaesthetic to relax the edges of your teeth close to the gums to make room for the veneer. Likewise, if you don’t have enough teeth to support a veneer, your dentist may have to fill them in. Then comes the step of measuring the tooth. In most cases, this is done with a digital scan. But sometimes you may also need to bite a mould. The design of the veneer takes into account both neighbouring and surrounding teeth so that biting and chewing are not affected. The scans and design recommendations are sent to an outside laboratory to produce the veneers. The manufacturing process takes two to three weeks until the veneer is sent to the dentist’s office. Acrylic veneers are installed as a temporary replacement to protect the prepared tooth.
Step Two, Visit
In the second step, the dentist will remove the temporary crown during the visit. The permanent crown will be checked and tested for texture and colour. If everything goes according to plan, the permanent crown will be glued in place.
Dental crowns can last between 5 and 10 years, depending on the material used. Zirconia and porcelain crowns are usually the most durable. But other options can also last a long time.
How and how well you take care of your veneers after they are placed also determines how long your crowns can last in good condition. Be sure to brush and floss twice a day and avoid putting too much pressure on dental crowns caused by eating hard foods.
Your dentist can easily replace a dental crown if it breaks or crumbles. You can also change the dental crown if you want to choose a more suitable material. Many patients may find that a certain material is uncomfortable for them or decide to use a newer alternative, which is normal. Fortunately, dental veneers are easy to replace.
